who we are

informed consent is sexy.

that’s why we think transparency is so important. we want you to know who we are and what we’re about, so it’s easier to make a conscious choice about co-creating unabashed with us.

Mia More (she/they)

Mia is a gender chaotic kinky being who experiences BDSM as a diverse tool for self-exploration and creative expression. since 2013, they have been publicly involved in kink/BDSM as a community member, and in more recent years as an educator and event producer. as an educator, Mia encourages participation and interactive demonstrations so students can build skills that are imbued with their own personal imagination and authentic personality. much like her gender expression and identity, they consider their rope and play style as chaotic.

Mia is not a stranger to creating queer spaces. their mindset is, if I can't find a space in which I fit, I will make one. they ran a queer poly discussion group, helped organize Queer Only play parties, and more recently was the brains behind Studio Friction's FabLab, a Queer only rope practice/play space. Mia is excited to bring her creative, chaotic, and welcoming energy to aid in the success of Unabashed.

Sir Piper (they/them)

Princexx Piper is a radiant skin bag filled with microbes. they wake up every day and are like, “WTF?! this is amazing.”

Piper’s been a member of the queer, kink, and poly scenes for two decades, but they’ve only recently come out of their shell and started actualizing their toppy, dommy, sadistic side.

they have a background in producing queer and radical performances, parties, festivals, and first dates. Piper seeks to foster safe(r) spaces and experiences that challenge oppressive systems.

BearJew (they/them)

BearJew (they/them) is a white, Jewish, trans and non-binary person who works in anti-oppression education. BearJew is deeply grateful that their kink-community journey has been almost exclusively in queer and trans spaces, starting in New York and New England more than eight years ago. kink helped teach BearJew not only how to trust another person, but how to trust themself. they believe in the possibility for kink to teach, transform, heal, and foster a damn good time. BearJew lives in Denver with their two scruffy dogs.

Z (kin/they)

one of the magical things queerness has taught Z is that kin is an aspiring non-Euclidian mass of tentacles and book knowledge on a tiny blue dot hurtling through a universe whose expansiveness kin can't even begin to imagine. to them, this means everything is full of possibility - and they're expanding their idea of what's possible every single day. kin is also a Black queer touch enthusiast and justice and equity advocate centering liberation and healing through relationships with ourselves, other humans, and the more-than-human world. five years into their journey in the wonderful world of kink (and still starry-eyed about it all), they bring communications skills, a touch of tech wizardry, and educational roots in transformative justice, Black liberation, and emergence to the unabashed team.

Mistrexx Fenrir (they/she)

There is an orenda that is curated into community, especially entering the kink sphere, filled with wonders, curiosites and connection - and that is what drove them towards unabashed and kept her coming back since its inception - and to move halfway across the country for the radical visioning and crafting that this wonderful con offers every year since! In their free time, they teach a plethora of classes around Restorative and Transformative Justice, transmuting her lived experience, knowledge and insight around healing justice for clients, communities and collectives around the globe with their workshops and real talks for the past three years. Mistrexx Fenrir, being a Black non-binary trans woman and radiant sunflower, visualizes care, compassion, de-escalation, mediation, conflict resolution and disruption of power differentials in, around and within her galaxy of cosmic deliciousness.
