workshops, round 1

yes! yes! yes!
a workshop with Drew Hornbein (he/they) and C. (she/her)

Tune in and be turned on by consent. We will play with sharing what we really want, tuning into our desires, boundaries, and needs. Then play with rejecting and being rejected, get comfortable with the perfect, wonderful (and sometimes challenging) NO so that we can be more secure in our authentic Yes, Yes, Yes!

Drew is a witchy radical rabble rousing weirdo, a trickster moon worshiping nerd searching for the patterns that create belonging and dreaming a beautiful world into being. Just another kinky queer wrestling with imposter syndrome. They come from somewhere and live in Denver where they do stick and poke tattoos, among other things.

Caroline or C. is a queer witchy intuitive, facilitator, creator and design thinker based in Denver. She provides vivid intuitive guidance dialogues for anyone ready to step off their edge and into the unknown: skeptical seekers, underground healers, expanded mind journeyers, and dying people and their families. She endorses finding out what your true “Yes Yes Yes” looks like.

intro to shibari
a workshop with Tensegrity (she/they) and Quinn Lennox (they/them)

Shibari is growing in popularity as a form of connection and intimacy. This class will teach two foundational shibari ties and how to use them to connect with your partner. Basic safety and negotiation will be covered. Expect to have time in class to practice your new skills with the guidance of your instructors. This class is designed for paired tying, and will be accessible for self-tiers. Please come with a partner, or be willing to make friends. Equipment: at least two 30’/8m lengths of rope, cutting tools. It will be easier to tie in comfy clothes/clothes that allow for movement.

Ten and Quinn have been tying and life partners since 2020 and bring over a decade of cumulative shibari experience to their teaching. They both started from the bottom side of the rope, resulting in a unique springboard of soft skills and rope engineering principles as a foundation for rigging. They also co-facilitate Denver Tiny Rope Space and teach around the country.

casual service: setting expectations, understanding disappointments
a workshop with Kero (pronoun agnostic)

Service is so sexy. It doesn't matter what type of service you are engaging in, it matters what your needs and expectations are. It matters if you are getting what all parties want out of the experience. This is especially important if this is a short term experience ie. an afternoon or a weekend. Come hear some stories of how it can go SO right, and how it can crash and burn. Learn how to mitigate the disappointments and how to plan for success.

Kero (pronoun agnostic) is an extroverted, creative, nonmonogamous, genderfluid pervert from the Asian diaspora, who has been active in this scene long enough that some of their early experiences involved local BBSs.

They enjoy sharing their love of learning as well as their extensive knowledge of consent, risk, anatomy, power, neuro/physical/gender/racial diversity (and the ways it can be used to change your understanding of kink).  They’ve presented at Dark Odyssey’s Fusion and Camp Crucible. They are committed to naming and combating white supremacy, creating community, and enjoys using their knowledge for very specific kinds of evil.  Kero is also an activist, a trained massage therapist and a licensed social worker.

workshops, round 2

between the worlds: kinky ritual and magical play
a workshop with Sharon Pink (she/her)

curious how to get deeper into ritualizing scenes? How to expand the magic that’s already there? What are ways to turn the mundane into magic? In this workshop, we will explore a variety of ways to bring magic into kink and kink into magic. You’re encouraged to bring items you’d like to charge and practice with, as there will time for experiential practice play. Alongside this, there will be opportunity for optional show and tell to help inspire each other. You’re welcome to be solo or with others!

Sharon Pink (she/her) is a Portuguese / Polish queer, witch and LeatherFemme. She flags hunter green on the right, mint on the left and many others, depending on the day.

She loves rope, ritual, clowns and community and has been connected in kink communities for 12+ years, including facilitating rituals, leather care hangouts, gatherings, demos, play space co-organizing, DMing and volunteering. Sharon aspires to be in ways that are anti-white supremacy, fat liberatory, gender affirming, leatherQueer celebratory, Elder & crone honoring and sex worker positive.

She lives on xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) territory (aka vancouver canada), and aspires to be a be respectful guest, by continual (re)commitment to honouring the ancestors, people, elements and spirits of this land through listening, reparations and actions with the intention of justice.

food play 101: not your average meal
a hybrid presentation with Ropeosaur (she/they)

Food play is about so much more than chocolate covered strawberries and champagne (but that's fun too!) Aphrodisiacs are but a very small part of what makes food play so enticing. Join us in this hybrid mix between media images of messier food play games, some in-person demonstrations of more contained ideas, and playful audience participation if you dare! We will go over several different categories of Food Play and some ideas for each. Let's discuss how easy (and sexy!) it can be to combine power exchange, humiliation, degradation, submission, and more into your food play experience.

A genderfluid and Sadistic rigger whose dynamic style keeps Bottoms on their toes. Passionate about every BODY belonging in rope, Ropeosaur values diversity, openly working with chronic pain and partners of varying body shapes, sizes, and gender-identities. Outside of kink, Ropeosaur is a full-time healthcare professional with a Master’s degree and Plant Daddy to their garden. Ropeosaur also hosts a monthly, private, Queer Rope Jam with the Cyrenaics, where she is fostering the growth of the future of W.T.F. (Women/Trans/Femme) rope Tops. New to teaching, Ropeosaur hopes to inspire others into their capacity of Topping, regardless of size or gender expression.

queer? leather? panel
a panel hosted by Ev (they/them)

Leather culture was created after WWII for and by cis gay men who couldn’t go back to the farm. Leather was their armor against a world that did not want them. In the 70 years since then, leather has become a fashion culture, a straight culture, a pop culture, and yes, still part of queer kink culture. What does leather mean to queer leather people today, and how do we carry the lineage of where leather came from while still making it ours? Panelists include Devyn Stone and his property, Guan Xuan; Wild Carma; and Ferris Oxide.

Ev (they/them) is a white, Jewish, trans and non-binary person who works in anti-oppression education. Ev is deeply grateful that their kink-community journey has been almost exclusively in queer and trans spaces, starting in New York and New England more than eight years ago. kink helped teach Ev not only how to trust another person, but how to trust themself. they believe in the possibility for kink to teach, transform, heal, and foster a damn good time. Ev lives in Denver with their two scruffy dogs.

the romance of being non-romantic
a discussion with Leo (he/him)

Despite the massive shifts in how we understand human relationships and sexuality, relationships geared towards power dynamics are assumed to possess elements of sex and romance. Sex is a crucial element of BDSM and power dynamics, many say, yet, what if sex isn’t part of your dynamic? Without sex and/or romance, many say, your power dynamic is not successful, or even legitimate. This couldn’t be further from the truth! In “The Romance of Being Non-Romantic,” Leo engages attendees in a discussion about how we define “romance” and “sex” to mean, culturally and personally, and demonstrate that power dynamics without sex and/or romance are a norm, not an exception. This class aims to validate attendees and others who design their dynamics in ways that work and honor them, not to appeal to others. This class runs for approximately 90 minutes and welcomes anyone, regardless of gender, sexuality, or relationship status!

Leo found his path in life learning to live radically and authentically in 1988. He is returning from a sabbatical, resulting from a car accident, and is eager to get back to serving others in the leather and kink community.

Leo’s passion for piercing, body modification, and other manipulations of the flesh know no bounds. He is always eager to share his knowledge with others, from basics to intensives to one-on-one mentoring and sacred rituals. He is especially passionate about topics such as service, protocol, blood play, energy, recovering from addiction and emphasizing practical applications. Leo is an educator at heart and has been educating since 1997. He is also the founder and owner of Beyond Piercing.

Many would tell you that Leo is approachable, straightforward, kind, innovative, and able to teach folx from wherever they may be in their journey. He is Leather, spiritually focused, Master, heavy sadist, disabled, and trans-masculine identified. He believes that learning is a lifelong process and is constantly seeking new experiences. Leo enjoys that every day he is given the opportunity to remember that he is human and laughs at himself often.

BDSM design thinking: how to build a creative scene
a workshop with Kit Amethyst (they/them)

We are always hearing presenters and community members talking about injecting "creativity" into your scenes or elevating scenes into transcendent experiences. But how does one actually be creative? How do you develop ideas for scene? We often see creativity as something you either have or you don't, but this is patently untrue. We are all creative individuals, we just aren't always taught how to be creative. In this workshop we will explore the design process as taught at Stanford University's Institute of Design (more commonly known as the "d. school") through a kinky lens as a means to learn HOW to design a scene that is creative, innovative, and fulfills the needs and desires of both a top and bottom. The d.school's method shows us how to approach problems, narrow in on needs/desires, and find unique and truly satisfying solutions.

Kit Amethyst is a non-binary queer artist, designer and educator. Having been polyamorous for over a decade and identified as a kinkster since 2018, they come into our kink spaces with an openness, curiosity and excitement for everyone's unique experiences. They are passionate about education and specifically the processing of teaching folks how to be creative and to see themselves as creative individuals. They are unapologetically nerdy and get excited by the why's of the things we do, just as much as the how's.

Ooh! That's Pretty! Temporary Piercing Workshop 201b
a hybrid presentation with Xray Aims (they/them)

This workshop assumes that participants have an introductory level knowledge of, and experience with, temporary piercing. Though we will quickly cover materials, procurement, methods, safety etc. our main focus will be on creative exploration with needles, skin, string, buttons, tubing… and everything you can imagine, and then some! We will look at work by me and other people, kinksters and/or artists, and discuss what worked and what went wrong. In fact, if you’d like to share your needle work/art, please send email to xrayaims @ gmail [dot] com (close the gap) and we’ll include them. The first third of the class time will be spent in discussion materials etc..the second third will be looking at a slideshow and in the last third we will split up into couples, or smaller groups, and take what you’ve learned and create something new, unexpected, and cool. We will provide some special “objects” for you to test out. This workshop is limited to the first 20 people to sign up at registration.

Xray Aims is a Boston, MA US based performance artist, temporary piercer, and BDSM educator who has been piercing in public and private since 2003. Xray Aims has degrees in art and architecture and has performed and taught in the US, Canada, and Europe. practicing, learning, teaching/sharing, having fun and giving pain is what makes it exciting for them. Xray Aims has aphasia and speaks slowly. They hope that people will follow their lead.

oppressed intersectional identities in kink
a discussion with Kero (pronoun agnostic)

Welcome to a space where we will examine intersectionality, and the ways in which our collective unconscious or conscious biases oppress others. This is a discussion where participation is encouraged, and where you are encouraged to take space as needed.

Kero is also an activist, a trained massage therapist and a licensed social worker.

shockingly delightful: the different flavors of electric play
a demo with Ferris Oxide (they/them)

Electric play comes in many different varieties and ranges in sensation. Electricity can be both sensual and sadistic. This class discusses and demonstrates the various forms that electric play can take including violet wand, tens unit, and stun guns as well as covers the relevant safety information necessary to engage in this form of play. If there is time, participants will have the opportunity to try all of the electric toys that are demonstrated.

Ferris Oxide, Current Mx International Olympus Leather, has taught classes covering topics such as: communication, consent, disability, gender, erotic wrestling, and electric play at dungeons/events throughout the Los Angeles area and beyond. As a white, queer, trans, and disabled member of kink and leather communities who thinks ACAB, they help create and support queer, intersectionally-centered spaces. When they aren't stomping an eager masochist, they can be found wielding electric knives and a wry smile.

4-5:30p

workshops, round 4

twisted sadism
a hybrid presentation with Ropeosaur (she/they)

We will be going over various types of ways to administer sadism via ropes, including but not limited to: predicaments, floor vs. partials vs full-suspension challenges, using your limbs for added painful pressures, using multiple planes of pull for "uplines", and contorting the body for not just striking poses but painful stretches.

New to teaching, Ropeosaur hopes to inspire others into their capacity of Topping, regardless of size or gender expression.

hacking shadow work + biochemistry: creating containers of compassion post-scene
a hybrid presentation with Kit Amreik (she/they)

This is a deeper dive into how to engage in shadow work, paired with an assessment of morals/ethics/values as well as use biochemistry to create containers of compassion post-scenes/aftercare/drop. Students will then use these tools to start having further conversations in a brave space. When folks walk away from the workshop, I hope that they can become empowered to self-reflect as well in community as a whole <3

My name is Kit Amreik and my pronouns are they and/or she. I am a 27 year old pansexual, non-binary trans woman based in Boston; I am also a new-to-Denver transplant! I am an activist working to serve the community at large and creating gentle & tender realms of radical possibility modeling for all. Some of my core values are integrity, veracity and receptiveness. In order to practice activism, advocacy and real time praxis to support comrades, it is imperative to me to hold these tenets close to me as I do the work. In addition to the aforementioned, I am also a Global Restorative and Transformative Justice Practitioner and Facilitator, versed in facilitating harm circles and community accountability processes for folks, organizations and collectives; furthermore, I teach TJ, RJ and facilitation classes and I hold space for all to learn and engage with this concept, and then share and spark conversations within communities to transform themselves.

negotiations for power exchange relationships and extreme kink
a lecture with Tensegrity (she/they) and Quinn Lennox (they/them)

As we get into more extreme and long term forms of kink, often we need additional negotiation techniques. While those seem like two different topics, many of the skills needed overlap. In this class we will cover things such as: what additional safety considerations are needed, what steps can I take to mitigate or manage risks, how do I take care of myself post scene, special considerations when entering and exiting a power exchange relationship, and how to navigate a full-time dynamic while keeping space for your common humanity.

This is not an introduction to negotiation. While it is our goal that this topic is accessible for everyone, we will not be covering the basics of negotiation or how to negotiate generally for a scene.

Ten and Quinn have been tying and life partners since 2020 and bring over a decade of cumulative shibari experience to their teaching. They both started from the bottom side of the rope, resulting in a unique springboard of soft skills and rope engineering principles as a foundation for rigging. They also co-facilitate Denver Tiny Rope Space and teach around the country.

queer leathersex
a hybrid presentation with Sir Luke (He/Him) and His victor (he/him)

Are you turned on by the smell, touch, and taste of people in leather? Do you look at artwork in the style of Tom of Finland and need instant relief? If you’ve ever thought to yourself, “Fuck, that’s hot, but I don’t see my identity represented in leather at all,” join us as we discuss the history and psychology of Leathersex and how to make those same mouth-watering, explosive experiences accessible and inclusive to those who aren’t exclusively binary, cisgender folks. We will cover the parallels between Leathersex and heteronormative, PIV sex, queer identity in Leather communities, and how to build a diverse toolkit for intimacy with queer, nonbinary, and transgender individuals.

Sir Luke and His victor manifest a sacred exchange of will and surrender as Master and slave, combining Leathersex and bloodlust, intentional structure and discipline, and shared personal truth. Their dynamic is flavored with notes of consensual nonconsent, depravity, and defilement. They live on the edge to uncover hidden purpose and empowerment, undeniably conquering fear and hesitation.

Sir Luke and His victor are the authors of “Above, beneath” and owners of Haven, a space for celebrating connection and purpose. They have served the community as educators, speakers, mentors, and titleholders. When they're not doing work in the community, they enjoy their home sanctuary, where victor can sit at Sir Luke's feet in their dungeon and they can simply exist as Master and slave.

holy shit, that looks painful! it’s not, really
a hybrid presentation with Devyn Stone (he/him)

Part of what makes a scene successful is suspending disbelief within an audience. In this class, Devyn Stone will impart tips and tricks with fake blood, staged combat tricks, movie special effects and more so you can craft the perfect scene for your next visit to a play party or dungeon space! This class is especially great for disabled folx and non-masochists.

Devyn Stone is a self-awareness and BDSM educator, author, and alternative lifestyles coach. inventing power
a workshop with Athena Kali (she/her)

You would like to have a deep sense of powerful, dominating energy in your scenes - but you’re not sure how to make it happen. This class will cover techniques for finding your powerful style as a dominant, top, or powerful bottom (but not bratty behavior, that’s another class!) using specific body mechanics, positions during a scene, voice coaching, and assessment of what triggers the feeling of ‘being powerful’ or ‘being small.’ You don’t have to be a 6ft tall dude, in high femme, or decades into your kink to be powerful - come find your power in scenes no matter who you are.

Athena Kali is a nationally known lifestyle BDSM and queer shibari presenter with over a decade of fun tormenting and teasing her squirming prey for audiences' perving pleasure. Together with partners & pets Icarus, Ruin, and Orpheus, classes from this dynamic 24/7 D/s team focus on empowering people with the tools of control, connection, female-led relationships and rope to create kink that satisfies, fulfills, and lasts. Her classes are filled with rainbow rope and fun, designed for all bodies, genders, and relationship configurations, and emphasize a female-led style with equal parts love, torture, and creativity. Athena has organized weekend long femdom workshops, a Wicked Women Female-Led Rope Con, and is the curator of Dudes in Distress, a queer / rainbow / femdom erotic art collective. She has taught at over 130 events across the U.S, is a professional public speaker, relationship educator, and teacher.

contact improvisational rope dance
a demo with IPCookieMonster (she/they)

This workshop will help leaders (riggers) and followers (rope bottoms) learn to dance together in rope. We'll focus on how to manage body mechanics so that both people physically cooperate to get someone (or someones if you're ambitious) tied up. By conceptualizing Bondage as a form of dance, we will work together to create rope work which is fluid, dynamic, spontaneous, intensely connective, and full of artistic flow. You don't have to be a dancer to make this work--you just have to be willing to move your body. Come learn how to make your rope work come alive with movement! Bring 1-4 pieces of rope for each pair.

IPCookieMonster (SlutPhD, Julie Fennell) is a sexual gymnast. She has been a kinky pansexual polyamorous pagan pervert for many years, and is the author of the self-dubbed collective autobiography of the BDSM scene, Please Scream Quietly: A Story of Kink. She has also written extensively about her deliciously deviant lifestyle on FetLife and her blog, slutphd.com. A professional sociologist who has studied the BDSM scene for years, she also writes erotica, and is an occasional burlesque/ropelesque performer. When just hanging around, she’s a rope switching bondage daredevil, gleefully slutty femdom, and boot-stomping glitter fetishist. She’ll also cheerfully geek out about the spiritual aspects of sex, kink in general, and rope in particular.

racial politics in the kink community
a discussion with Kero (pronoun agnostic)

Race isn't a dirty word, but we certainly act like it is. Anyone who is willing to have a thoughtful and open discussion on what it means to not be white in the kink community is invited to join.

They’ve presented at Dark Odyssey’s Fusion and Camp Crucible. don’t tell me what i can’t do: dark disability play
a lecture with Ferris Oxide (they/them)

People often look at disabled individuals and imagine a wide range of limitations. We are often taught to avoid, accommodate, or completely ignore a recognition of disability. This class will teach you to look at disability impairments as an opportunity. If you have a partner that is comfortable exploring their disability, there are endless possibilities for empowering sadomasochistic fun.

When they aren't stomping an eager masochist, they can be found wielding electric knives and a wry smile.

our love language is suffering
a lecture with Sir Luke (He/Him) and His victor (he/him)

Why would anyone get turned on by the thought of violence and cruelty? When suffering is an offering and devotion is to the death, the ramifications of intense levels of ordeal include lifelong loyalty and elevated risk and reward. We will answer questions people are too afraid to ask, and delve into why suffering is the only form of love that feels real for us.

When they're not doing work in the community, they enjoy their home sanctuary, where victor can sit at Sir Luke's feet in their dungeon and they can simply exist as Master and slave.

connection and reflection with rope
a workshop with GoodFoxy (she/they) and pixie (she/her)

Ultimately most us play with rope to have fun, promote emotions, feelings, and connection. Connective techniques can be taught just as patterns can and this workshop will give participants the opportunity to learn and practice connective techniques and to engage in guided reflection about the experience. While we often have a chance to learn and practice, taking time to reflect, discuss, learn, and grow as an individual and tying pair is a luxury that is elusive. This workshop will give you and your partner a variety of rope skills to create a myriad of formless floor ties with thoughtful connection and introspection. We hope that this combination will provide an enchanting introduction to rope or a deepening of your current rope practice.

GoodFoxy (she/they) has been in love with shibari for about 4 years. She was thankfully introduced to it as a bottom by a friend and tied and learned with that friend for some time before stepping into the rope community via Studio Friction. After taking curriculum classes with the intention of bottoming, GoodFoxy soon found a desire to learn to tie quickly becoming clear. Thus began their journey to learn to tie, to find herself as both a bottom and a top, and to joyfully fall deeper in love with shibari. Their tying style leans heavily into sensual, focused, connected (umm..sometimes sexy) rope with interwoven elements of sadism, playfulness, and creativity.

As an instructor, GoodFoxy is intentional about creating connections with participants, making workshops/classes accessible, challenging, and welcoming. As a professional educator and facilitator they are nerdy about creating curricula and facilitating in ways that encourage critical thinking, growth, and a sense of humor. This kink and rope stuff is FUN, after all! They believe that they are consistently learning and value rope education as a participant and instructor.

GoodFoxy values human connection and complexity, relationship, equity, education, aesthetics, sensory experience, challenge, novelty, and passion (to start). They identify as a cis, queer/bi, poly, kinky, femme-leaning, rope switch who is also a single mom, burlesque dancer, fitness instructor, and psychologist.

Pixie has been getting tied, tying herself, and tying others for the past 7 years. She was previously a community leader in St. Louis and was on the board of directors at Studio Friction. An academic at heart, she always enjoys learning more about rope bondage and other forms of kink. She is drawn towards the flexibility of rope especially for its beauty, pain, strain, challenge, sensation, joy, and, of course, its connection.

squirting: it’s not pee (but it would be okay if it was)
a hybrid presentation with Pansy Lovering (they/he)

What is squirt & where does it come from? Together, we’ll explore the anatomy & chemistry, as well as the legal & scientific controversies around this pleasure phenomenon! After a 30-minute lecture, we’ll have a live demonstration of pissing & squirting as a visual aid to distinguish the two, then a facilitated conversation around squirt, pee, G-spots, P-spots, A-spots, bodily autonomy, porn, extended arousal, & more!

Pansy is a transmasc, fae-adjacent pro kinkster, fetishist, & performance artist. They throw the occasional solar-powered sex party in the woods of Vermont, along with presenting classes & workshops from New Orleans to New York. When he’s not doing all of that, he likes to leave marks lasting more than 24 hours via their tattooing practice, or simply lie down in a cool, dark room under a weighted blanket.

looking over the cliff: engaging consciously with edge play as a tool to get the life you want
a workshop with Ev (they/them) and Vortexx (she/her)

All of us desire abundance in our lives, but we’re constantly frustrated, angry, or devastated that for some reason, it remains out of reach for us. In this workshop, we will explore the concepts 1) that we must expand the capacity of our nervous systems to be able to receive all that goodness, and 2) that playing with our edges through kink is an incredibly powerful tool for expanding that capacity. Our ability to stay present and feel safe in our bodies while we experience high sensation and engage with the unknown translates directly to how much abundance (aka the unknown) we can tolerate receiving in other parts of our lives. But if the goal is to push beyond the edges of what we know, how can we be sure to keep ourselves safe?

This workshop provides participants with frameworks, brain hacks, and experiential exercises to understand the critical importance of nervous system capacity, as well as how the window of tolerance works, what it feels like in their bodies, and how to use it during edge play to keep themselves safe. Participants will leave with the tools they need to go forth and use kink consciously to expand their capacity to receive all the goodness and abundance they so desire and deserve.

Vortexx is a life coach, pro Domme, and educator who employs BDSM play as a powerful tool for her clients to have embodied experiences of transformation. Her coaching work centers a practice called Shadow Integration– a form of exploration and communion with the many creatures inside of us — in order to understand, love, and integrate them. This work helps us escape the prison of our past traumas and increases our capacity to be present with high sensation as a key to readying ourselves to receive the kind of expansion and abundance we desire and deserve.

the art of dishevelment
a demo with IPCookieMonster (she/they)

You know how erotic fiction always talks about people ripping each others' clothes off in moments of passion? Have you ever wanted to create such a scene, but realized that unbuttoning pants seemed easier than trying to rip them? Then this class is for you! Dishevelment scenes are constructed around the desire to leave someone in conspicuous disarray as a result of play. This class focus on how to artfully destroy someone's clothes (with demonstrations), as well as explaining and showing how to mess up their make-up, and leave them with "just fucked" hair.

Join Leo as he demonstrates the skills and finesse to take your next knife play scene up a notch with decorative cutting. Leo will briefly cover the basics, including blood borne pathogen safety, while dedicating the majority of the class to demonstrating an array of techniques and style. terrorousal and other dread-full play: fearplay/mindfucks
a hybrid presentation with Stacia Keanne aka LadybugFaerie (she/her)

TRIGGER WARNING: THIS CLASS WILL DEAL WITH SENSITIVE AND POSSIBLY TRIGGERING CONTENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DISCUSSIONS OF VIOLENCE, NON-CONSENT, GUNS, AND ANTAGONISTIC LANGUAGE.

Getting inside someone’s head and creating a false reality or playing on the fears and discomforts of a bottom with real actions/items is challenging and risky, but can also provide some of the best scenes. The class will cover the components of a good mind fuck or fear play scene, as well as the risks to be aware of when playing in this realm and ways to mitigate those risks as best possible.

LadybugFaerie aka Stacia Keanne (she/her) has been a part of the BDSM community since 2008. She has been on staff with the Denver Sanctuary since 2013, co-produces the Right of the Slash Weekend, and has taught at Oklahoma LeatherFest, Kinky Things Colorado Springs, and Unabashed. She is a certified relationship coach specializing in kink and non-monogamy dynamics. She has tried very few kinks that she doesn't enjoy and education is one of her passions.

from gender dysphoria to gender euphoria
a discussion with Lee Harrington (he/they)

When discussing transgender experience, there is often a focus on gender dysphoria, the distress someone experiences due to a mismatch between their gender identity and their sex assigned at birth. But what about gender euphoria and the powerful joys that can come during the varieties of transgender and gender expansive experiences? In this discussion/class we will look at the diverse types of dysphoria before diving into the power and beauty possible when we are seen in our gender or can find the power possible in the journeys we are on. Though this discussion will center the voices of transgender, gender non-conforming, non-binary, and gender expansive individuals, people of all gender experiences are welcome, as well as partners and allies of those on diverse gender journeys.

inspiring submission: trauma informed and emotionally intelligent D/s dynamics
a workshop with Ferris Oxide (they/them)

A lot of domination revolves around the idea that submission is gained through force and aggression. The wants, needs, desires, and traumas of the submissive are often dismissed. This workshop combines research in social psychology, interpersonal communication, and organizational leadership to model dominance that uses humility and emotional intelligence to deepen D/s dynamics. This domination recognizes the power of vulnerability wherein learning, growth and success become a collaborative process that empowers all involved. The class will include mock D/s dynamic orientation conversations.
